Transformational Coaching · Embodiment · The RECLAIM Method

You built a life.Somewhere along the way, did you lose yourself?

You may be holding everything together on the outside while quietly knowing that something inside you wants more. More truth. More freedom. More connection. More of you.

I help women slow down, understand the patterns that have shaped them and reconnect with who they are underneath the roles, responsibilities and expectations.

UK · Sweden · Online internationally

Sylvia Liu holding space in a women's circle

Does any of this feel familiar?

You've spent years doing what needed to be done.

You work. You care. You manage. You give. You keep going. Perhaps your life looks successful from the outside. And yet there may be a quieter question underneath it all:

Is this actually the life I want to be living?

I say yes when I mean no.

And then you carry the resentment quietly, because saying so would cost more than the yes did.

I'm the one everyone leans on.

You have become very good at keeping life moving. Somewhere in that, you stopped asking what you wanted.

I don't know who I am outside my roles.

Mother, partner, businesswoman, the responsible one. Underneath all of them there is still a woman, and she has been waiting.

My life looks good. It doesn't feel like mine.

Nothing may look obviously wrong. That is often what makes it so hard to explain — and so easy to keep tolerating.

I keep ending up in the same pattern.

Understanding a pattern intellectually and still repeating it is not a failure of insight. It means the work needs to happen somewhere other than your thinking.

I'm functioning. I'm not living.

You might not be in crisis. You are simply no longer willing to keep going on autopilot. That is where our work begins.

"You don't need to become someone new. You need space to remember who you were before you learned who you had to be."

Sylvia

How I work

You don't need another person telling you who you should become.

You probably already know how to push yourself. How to achieve. How to keep going. My work isn't about adding another list of things you should be doing. It is about creating enough space for you to notice what is already happening inside you.

Together, we explore the patterns, beliefs, emotions and ways of relating that may have once protected you but no longer fit the woman you are becoming.

We bring the body into the conversation too. Because sometimes you understand something intellectually for years — and still keep repeating it. Real change begins when awareness starts becoming lived experience.

A circle of women sharing cacao by candlelight

Awareness is where change begins. Embodiment is where it becomes real.

The frameworks

Two ways back to yourself.

One is a doorway. One is the whole journey. Neither is a rigid programme — both are maps we return to, in whatever order your life requires.

Honesty first

This work isn't right for everyone.

It may be right for you if

  • You look capable from the outside and feel disconnected inside
  • You have read, reflected and understood — and something still hasn't shifted
  • You are ready to bring your body into the work, not only your thinking
  • You want space to hear yourself rather than instructions to follow
  • You are willing to practise differently in real life, not only in sessions

It may not be right for you if

  • You are in acute crisis or need clinical mental-health treatment — I will refer you
  • You are looking for someone to change another person in your life
  • You want a single weekend reset rather than sustained change
  • You want advice and answers more than you want to hear your own

Not ready to book a conversation?

7 Days Back to Yourself

A free seven-day email journey inspired by the RECLAIM Method. One email each day. One short practice. One question. One moment to turn your attention back towards yourself.

No pressure to change your life in seven days. Just seven invitations to begin listening.

The doorway · 8 weeks

The HOME MethodCome home to yourself.

Before anything can change, you need space to hear yourself again. HOME is four movements over eight weeks — enough to slow down, understand what has been shaping you, and begin making different choices.

It is the doorway into RECLAIM. For many women, it is also enough on its own.

H
Hear

Slow down enough to hear yourself.

You have been listening to everyone else for a long time. We begin by turning the volume down on all of it — noticing what your body is doing, what your nervous system has been managing, and what has been going unsaid.

Not to fix anything yet. Only to hear it.

O
Open

Notice what you have been carrying.

Roles, expectations, responsibilities, the things you agreed to years ago and never revisited. We lay them out and look at them honestly — including the ones you have never admitted are heavy.

Naming what you carry is not complaining. It is the first accurate inventory you may have taken in years.

M
Meet

Meet the pattern underneath.

Every pattern had a reason. Being useful may have kept you loved. Being strong may have kept you safe. Saying no may have created conflict you could not afford.

We meet the belief that has been running the decision — with curiosity rather than blame — so it stops operating out of sight.

E
Embody

Practise it in your actual life.

Insight that stays in the session changes nothing. Here we work with breath, body and real situations — one boundary, one conversation, one honest sentence at a time.

By the end of eight weeks you will not have a different life. You will have a different relationship with the one you have, and you will know what you want to do next.

"HOME is where you stop and listen. RECLAIM is where you begin to live from what you heard."

How the two fit together

The full journey · 6 months

The RECLAIM MethodA journey back to yourself.

RECLAIM is my framework for helping women reconnect with themselves and begin living with greater awareness, choice and authenticity.

It is not a rigid seven-step programme. Every woman moves differently. We use the framework as a map, returning to different areas depending on what is happening in your life.

R
Regulate

Create enough safety to listen.

Before we can make meaningful changes, we need to notice what is happening in the body. We explore your nervous-system responses, triggers, stress patterns and what helps you feel more grounded and present.

The goal isn't to feel calm all the time. It is to build awareness and a greater capacity to stay connected to yourself.

E
Excavate

Understand what has been shaping you.

Every pattern has a history. We gently explore the beliefs, roles, expectations and emotional patterns you have learned along the way.

Perhaps you learned that being useful kept you loved. That being strong kept you safe. That saying no created conflict. That your needs should come last.

We don't explore the past simply to stay there. We explore it so you can understand what you are carrying into the present.

C
Connect

Come back into relationship with yourself.

Many women become disconnected from their bodies, emotions and needs because life has required them to keep going. Here we practise listening again — to your body, your emotions, your boundaries, your intuition, your desires, your truth.

Not everything needs to be analysed. Sometimes it needs to be felt.

L
Liberate

Make space for what no longer needs to be carried.

Awareness creates choice. Here we begin working with patterns, emotions, beliefs and behaviours that no longer serve the life you want to create.

This isn't about forcing yourself to let go. It's about understanding what you have been holding, and creating the conditions for something different to become possible.

A
Align

What do you actually want?

When you remove everyone else's expectations, what is true for you? We explore your values, relationships, lifestyle, desires, work, boundaries and the way you want to experience your life.

Alignment isn't about creating a perfect life. It is about reducing the distance between what you know inside and the way you actually live.

I
Inhabit

Become more comfortable being fully yourself.

Insight is one thing. Living it is another. This part of the work is about practising your voice, boundaries, confidence, expression and the ability to remain connected to yourself even when other people may not approve.

You begin inhabiting the woman you are becoming rather than waiting to feel completely ready.

M
Move

Bring it into your real life.

Transformation isn't what happens during a coaching session. It is what happens afterwards. In the conversations you have. The decisions you make. The boundaries you keep. The way you speak to yourself. The relationships you choose. The things you finally allow yourself to want.

RECLAIM becomes something you live.

"I don't believe transformation begins by asking how do I become better. Sometimes the more important question is — how do I come back to myself?"

The heart of RECLAIM
Standing in the sea at sunset

Your body. Your emotions. Your boundaries. Your desires. Your voice. Your choices. Your life.

Come back to yourself

Ready to begin?

You don't need to arrive with it worked out. Half of what we do in the first conversation is find the real question.

Private coaching

Choose where to begin.

Two private journeys, and one standalone session for when you simply need space. Nothing here is bought from a page — we talk first.

HOME — 8 Weeks Back to Yourself

For when you know something needs to change, but you're not quite sure where to begin.

Eight weeks gives us focused time to slow down, understand the patterns that have been shaping your life and begin reconnecting with yourself. Especially suited to women new to deeper coaching or embodiment work, or who want meaningful support without a longer commitment.

  • 8 private 1:1 sessions, generally weekly
  • Approximately 75–90 minutes each
  • Hear · Open · Meet · Embody — two weeks in each movement
  • Nervous-system awareness, breath and embodiment
  • Boundaries, values, desires, relationship patterns
  • Personalised reflections and prompts between sessions
6 months · the RECLAIM Method

The RECLAIM Journey

For when you're ready for more than insight. You're ready to change the way you live.

Six months gives us something eight weeks cannot: time. Time to meet real-life triggers. Time to practise new boundaries. Time to fall back into an old pattern and understand why. Rather than simply having breakthroughs in sessions, we work with what happens when those breakthroughs meet your relationships, family, work and everyday life.

  • Approximately 15 private sessions over six months
  • Weekly at first, moving towards fortnightly as you integrate
  • All seven movements of RECLAIM, in your order
  • Agreed voice-note support between sessions
  • Occasional longer in-person embodiment sessions where appropriate
  • A final integration session, your personal RECLAIM map and next-step plan
90–120 minutes · standalone

Private Session

Sometimes you don't need a programme. You need space.

Space to stop. Space to hear yourself. Space to understand what is happening underneath the noise. A single coaching and embodiment experience designed to help you explore one area of your life more deeply.

  • Facing a decision
  • Noticing a repeating pattern
  • Emotionally overwhelmed
  • Navigating a relationship dynamic
  • Wanting to experience my approach first

Inside the six months

Three phases, one direction.

Months 1–2

Return

Who have I become — and what has shaped me?

We begin by slowing things down. We explore where you are now, what is no longer working, and what your body, emotions and behaviours may be communicating. Sessions are usually more frequent here, so we can build trust, momentum and continuity.

Months 3–4

Reclaim

What belongs to me — and what am I ready to stop carrying?

Once greater awareness has been created, we work more deeply with the areas that matter most: relationships, motherhood, identity, confidence, boundaries, anger, grief, self-worth, work, body connection, desire, voice. This is not a fixed curriculum. Your life becomes the curriculum.

Months 5–6

Live

How do I create a life that reflects the woman I am becoming?

Less "why am I like this", more "how do I want to live now". You begin practising new choices in real situations — having the conversation you have avoided, maintaining a boundary, asking for what you need, making space for pleasure, allowing yourself to rest.

A group resting during a sound journey

Your life becomes the curriculum.

Not sure which one?

You don't have to decide alone.

Book a conversation and we can talk about where you are, what you are looking for and whether my work feels right for you. If I don't believe you need six months, I won't recommend six months. And if I don't believe I'm the right person to support you, I will tell you that too.

Investment and payment plans are discussed during your conversation.

Questions

Before you book

What's the difference between HOME and RECLAIM?

HOME is eight weeks and four movements — enough to slow down, hear yourself, understand the pattern underneath and begin practising something different. RECLAIM is six months and seven movements, and works with what happens when those changes meet your real relationships, family and work.

Many women begin with HOME and continue into RECLAIM once they feel what shifts in those first weeks. There is no pressure to decide that now.

Do I need to have done coaching before?

No. You do not need experience with coaching, embodiment or nervous-system work. We begin wherever you are.

Is this therapy?

No. This is a coaching and personal-development process. It is not psychotherapy, psychiatric care or medical treatment, and I do not diagnose or treat mental-health conditions.

If you are experiencing significant psychological distress or require clinical trauma treatment, therapy or medical support may be more appropriate.

Do I need to tell you everything about my past?

No. You are always in choice about what you share. We may explore where patterns originated when it feels useful, but you do not need to disclose every detail of your history in order to work with me.

Will we talk about trauma?

We may explore how past experiences have influenced present-day patterns, behaviours and nervous-system responses. However, I do not position my work as deep clinical trauma treatment. Where specialist trauma or mental-health support is needed, I encourage working with an appropriately qualified professional.

Is the work spiritual?

It can be if spirituality is meaningful to you, but it does not need to be. My work can include embodiment, intuition, presence and deeper self-exploration without requiring you to subscribe to a particular spiritual belief system.

Is Tantra part of the coaching?

My training in Tantra informs aspects of how I understand embodiment, connection, intimacy and presence, but this is not a Tantra programme. You do not need any interest or experience in Tantra to work with me.

Do you work online?

Yes. Private coaching is available internationally through Zoom. Selected embodiment experiences may also be offered in person in the UK and Sweden.

Are the sessions weekly?

The eight-week journey is generally weekly. The six-month journey begins with more regular sessions and gradually creates more space between them, usually moving towards fortnightly work. This allows time for integration and real-life practice.

What happens between sessions?

Depending on what we are exploring, you may receive journal prompts, embodiment practices, breathwork, reflection questions, boundary or communication exercises, real-life experiments and personalised integration practices.

The purpose is not to give you homework for the sake of being busy. The practices are there to help bring the work into your actual life.

Can I pay in instalments?

Payment plans may be available for both private journeys. Details can be discussed during your initial conversation.

My story

For a long time, my life looked successful from the outside.

I had built a business, raised a family, carried responsibility for other people and become very good at keeping everything moving. I was capable. Independent. Productive. And used to being the one who could handle things.

Sylvia Liu

But underneath all of that, I began to recognise something uncomfortable. I wasn't always living. Much of the time, I was functioning.

I had become so accustomed to responsibility, achievement and pushing through that I had stopped listening to what my body and emotions were telling me. Eventually, the way I had always operated stopped working. That became the beginning of a very different relationship with myself.

I began exploring how our experiences live not only in our thoughts, but also in our bodies, nervous systems, relationships and behaviours. I started understanding the patterns I had carried. The roles I had learned. The ways I had adapted. The emotions I had pushed aside. And the difference between living according to expectation and living according to what was genuinely true for me.

My journey brought me into coaching, nervous-system work, embodiment, breathwork, emotional exploration, conscious relating and body-led practices. But perhaps the most important lesson has been simpler:

Coming back to yourself is not a destination. It is a relationship you continue building.

Today, that is the work I want to offer other women. Not telling them who they should become. But creating the space for them to hear themselves again.

Training & experience

Frameworks, and lived experience.

My work brings together transformational coaching with nervous-system awareness, somatic and body-led practices, embodiment, breathwork, movement and emotional exploration.

I've separated these deliberately. Training is what I've been certified in. Facilitation is where I've held space alongside others. The rest is the work I've done on myself. They are different things, and I think you deserve to know which is which.

My own work

I have been on the other side of the room.

Everything I offer, I have received first. I have sat in the circles. I have been the woman who did not want to speak on the first evening and could not stop by the third. I still go to retreats, and I am still doing my own work — not because it is finished, but because it isn't.

I don't believe you can hold a room you have never sat in.

Still learning

Alongside formal training, I bring lived experience as a business owner, leader, mother and woman who has navigated profound personal change. I believe both matter. Training gives us frameworks. Life teaches us humanity. My intention is to bring both into the room.

How I work

Our sessions are collaborative.

We may talk. We may pause. We may work with breath. We may notice what is happening in your body. We may explore a belief or an old pattern. We may practise a boundary. We may work with movement, emotion or expression.

Sometimes the most important moment in a session is a breakthrough. Sometimes it is simply allowing yourself to say something you have never said aloud.

I work with warmth, honesty and curiosity. There is no expectation that you arrive with all the answers. There is also no pressure to perform transformation. This work is not about fixing you. It is about becoming increasingly honest about what is true — and developing the capacity to live from that place.

Where I work

Between the UK and Sweden.

Private coaching is available internationally online via Zoom. Selected embodiment and body-led sessions may also be offered in person depending on location and availability.

Online work is not simply a substitute for in-person coaching. There can be something powerful about learning to reconnect with yourself within your own environment — the place where your real-life patterns and relationships actually happen.

My work is currently centred primarily around women. As my training and practice continue to develop, I intend to expand into conscious relationship and couples experiences — connection, communication, emotional safety, intimacy and conscious relating.

Day 1

Regulate

Before anything changes, notice what is happening in your body. Today's invitation is to slow down long enough to recognise how much you may be holding.

Practice — Breathe in gently for four counts. Exhale for six to eight. Repeat five times. Do not force the breath.

Where in my body do I feel the effort of holding everything together?

Day 2

Excavate

Every pattern has a history. What you call people-pleasing, over-giving, perfectionism or control may once have helped you feel safe, valued, useful or loved.

When did I first learn that I needed to be this way?

Day 3

Connect

Before asking what you should do next, ask yourself what you feel.

What have I been feeling that I haven't given myself permission to acknowledge?

Day 4

Liberate

Not everything you carry belongs in the life you are creating now.

What am I tired of carrying?

Day 5

Align

If nobody else had an opinion, what would you want?

What do I genuinely want more of in my life?

Day 6

Inhabit

You don't need to wait until you feel completely confident before behaving differently.

What would change if I trusted myself 10% more?

Day 7

Move

Awareness becomes powerful when it changes something in real life.

What is one small choice I can make this week that feels more like me?

Begin on Monday, or begin today.

Coming back to yourself doesn't happen in seven days. But it can begin with one honest moment.

Leave whenever you like.

If something on this website has resonated with you, the next step is a private conversation. There is no obligation to enrol.

We'll talk about
  • Where you are now
  • What has been happening
  • What you would like to change
  • What kind of support you may need
  • Whether this feels like the right fit

This conversation is also an opportunity for me to decide whether I believe I am the right person to support you. If I believe another type of professional support would be more appropriate, I will say so.
